@bratbustersparenting: My toddler is very big on saying no and just starts throwing a huge tantrum, which gets worse when I don't pay any attention to her. Here’s the thing, if tantrums have worked in the past (you have given in to their demands) she may think that all she needs to do is have an intense tantrum to get what she wants. You have to be willing to go through the storm to get to the rainbow - of course this is assuming you have met her needs and this tantrum is about a want. what about when my toddler asks for a hug when she's having a tantrum. i will ignore her until she asks for a hug then I'll hug her and she calms down. I don't want to say no to the "love" part.

My 3 year old started to have tantrums and throwing stuff even hitting herself with the hands. Or hitting the door/wall. She starts yelling and yelling and if I ignore her she makes it worse
