This weekend, I attended the Seeds of Mercy event. I thought I was just going to listen. I didn’t expect to leave carrying a question that would completely rearrange the way I think about success. Throughout the day, speaker after speaker spoke about service, legacy, waqf, empowering people instead of creating dependency, building what outlives you, and worshipping the Lord of the impossible. Somewhere between those conversations… I realized I’d been asking the wrong question. Not, “What can I build for myself?” But, “What does Allah want to leave in this world through me?” That question followed me all the way home. It became this episode. May Allah reward every speaker, volunteer, organizer, and every person who quietly served behind the scenes. And may He accept the efforts of the team @alamaanah.aid, allowing every seed planted this weekend to continue benefiting the Ummah long after we’re all gone, Ameen.
