I actually went through this. I bought my 70k f150 platinum, it had 14k miles and they tried to only give me 1 key. Argued with them until they “found” the second key🙄

I feel like asking about two keys is something you do before finishing the deal. Used cars are as is. Be smart enough to consider needing 2 keys before getting this far.

I sell cars, I always let them know that I’ll reach out to the previous owner.😂 It’s not that hard. 9/10 they’ll forget to bring it.

Try buying a new Toyota right now. We're almost a year out from purchase and we're hoping to get our second FOB in September. They gave us 2 "keys" at purchase but only 1 FOB.

Dealerships don’t care about the second, as long as it has one it’s perfectly fine in their eyes. And usually it happens because someone coming to look at a vehicle didn’t intend on buying that day

I bought an 05 Matrix in 2017. Came with 2 keys. Thought the spare was a random cut key (weird shape, no logo, locks acted funny when used). Until my ignition had to be replaced. (1)

this literally happened to me yesterday. I bought a 100k Hellcat widebody, and it only came with one key. and it was the black one. $400 later at another dealership and and I got my red one.

If you lease a vehicle and then at the end of the lease decide to buy should you still get 2 keys? Even if you only got one when leasing.

OH MY GOODNESS THIS JUST HAPPENED TO ME ON A LINCOLN THE SALESMEN SAID THERE GUYS LOST A KEY, BUTTTT ADDED 475 on my invoice for me to pay for a second key,I WALKED, the also added 800 process fee
