@therealmentorcynthia: My biggest goal is frolicking and making memories with my grandchildren 💖 While our grandsons are here for the summer, I’ve also been cooking some of the traditional Haitian meals they are used to. This time our youngest grandson Alan helped me with a traditional Haitian spaghetti dish for dinner. It’s a recipe I only cook when our children and grandchildren are here because it’s quite spicy and my husband and our son Ziv aren’t fans of spicy food. This dish, known as “Espageti,” features spaghetti tossed in a blend of tomato sauce, hot dogs, onions, yellow/green/red peppers, and epis, a flavorful spicy seasoning base common in Haitian cuisine. It holds a special place in my heart, as I grew up watching my mom cook it for our family and even at our family restaurant, where it was served as a breakfast item but later became a dinner favorite as well.
