My son has a dedicated QB coach. I got 2 practices a week with an alcoholic plumber who's son wanted to play ball but there wasn't a coach. shits just different now 😂

I think about this too. Feels better to feel like a king even if it was just rec ball glory. Pretty sure I would have fared much worse in elite travel ball.

Yep, played college ball in the 90’s. Coached youth ball recently and by 13u I was the smallest dude on the field 🤷🏻

You have to see how many reps these kids are getting now. Back in the 80s/90s we got 12-16 games total in each sport and we moved on to the next sport.

I didn’t have my own bat, had to use then cummunity bat. Today’s kids are swinging $500 bats, crazy!

i played college and pro football back in the late 80s and early 90s... i officiate HS football and baseball now. i feel ya dawg!! pretty sure i would have been 3rd team if i was lucky!! lol

1978-79 in college, I did not see people regularly throwing over 90. Did they have great off-speed pitches for strikes? Yes. Did the have great location. Yes. But not consistently over 90.
