So many marriages end because the male partner is not contributing equally to the parenting/home/emotional/logistical labor. Now they get 50% custody w/ no mandated responsibility to actually parent.

I agree the role of a mother is vital but what do you do when the mother is the issue? I think instead of favoring it should have clearer guidelines for primary custody

I wanted what was best for my kid, so I didn’t fight for myself. I got f’d. 50/50 on paper, not in reality and I paid all the costs and never got him to help out. It was rough. He got off easy.
