There are many translations out there to help you read your Bible. You also need to be filled with the Holy Spirit to get Devine revelations from the scriptures.

That is a good idea. Only you need to read the verses that go along with it after you read the story. It gets easer to understand as you go along. God says to read His word not juststories.

I'm sure this would be good for someone who isn't familiar with the Bible; the more you tread the Bible, you know it well enough to not have a problem reading it. I've been reading it for a great man.
