Not sure if it’s something you’re considering but I had pterygium surgery about 8 months ago now and it was LIFE CHANGING!! Maybe 6-8 weeks of it being a bit gross but now it’s perfect ❤️

Honestly had no idea, that sunglasses are to protect you not just because it’s sunning and you can’t see 😂😂

My mum had a pterygium for years and it eventually developed a squamous cell carcinoma along side it! She got it removed without issues with eye drop chemo. so scary !

I used to work at an Eye specialist. Seen many patients come in and say surgery was scary but the best thing they have ever done. If you don’t get it done. It’s unfortunately going to get worse

I think I have this aswell. My eyes dry up very easily aswell. Especially considering I look at a screen all day at work. My eyes get strained at the end of the work day. Anyone got advice?

My friend used to have so many issues with bouncers trying to reject us thinking she was intoxicated and she used to yell “I have pterigiums”

I have one too! It’s almost approaching the iris now. And people bring up removing it all the time. But I’m too scared too!

If you have private health hospital cover then you can get it done and just pay your excess ! I just got mine done :)

I had that and a mole where it started. It was there for about 10 years, then I got sick and basically slept for a year and it’s gone.
