My daughter had a medical emergency in Paris over the summer. Three ambulances sent, two days in the hospital. Cost us nothing.

Most people have the issue of health care here in the US. In my area one of the top medical insurances does not cover our 1 and only children's hospital. It is out of pocket..

My mom had a UTI while on vacation in Scotland. Went to hospital and had tests, saw a doctor, had medicine prescribed. Didn't cost a cent. They told her they don't even have a way to collect money.

So sad. I moved to Belgium 13 years ago and I cannot imagine not having Healthcare. I've been unemployed here and still can see all my doctors.

It's quite literally cheaper to fly to the other side of the world and get healthcare than it is for me to go to the hospital I'm a nurse at.

Before we get free health care, we have to get cost under control. I had a 3 week daily infusion where they charged $1250 per day for the medicine. In Canada it was less than $90.

I’ve always been saddened that our country doesn’t pay to help the Olympians. I always wonder what phenomenons the world miss out on because they can’t afford to go further.

My kids got sick in france 2 years ago. It was 35 euros for the doc to come to the house and then 8 euros for all 3 medications at the pharmacy. Doc was at the house both times in under 3 hours.

I had kidney stones last time I was in France. Ended up in the ER and after about a 7 hr stay with multiple diagnostic tests I checked out to only have a $270 bill. In US that would have cost $5-10K

when insurance was made mandatory is when health care became to expensive. I use to pay cash and now payments are only acceptable if going towards a deductible.

Don’t get me started on health care. My daughter was born premature and her NICU bill was close to $1m. Our insurance didn’t want to cover a large chunk of it.
