Breadfruit has only recently began fruiting prolifically in South Florida. We know a few long-time farmers in our area who have tried to grow this fruit in the past and failed because the plant would die during the colder winter months. This breadfruit tree on our farm was planted by the previous owner William Lessard and was still a young tree when he passed away. We moved it from where it was originally planted to a new location on the property and are happy to see it thriving and we are thrilled to be able to share the fruits with you.
