I mean sending a text or calling to check in is good. Maybe bring her a cup of coffee and have girl time and relax, but house work is something a family member should be doing not you.

what's the harm in being neighborly? imagine if it was you in her place, wouldn't you appreciate your husband's friend wife (close neighbor) to pop in? imo it's not a huge deal. I had a hysterectomy

I had a hysterectomy in my late 40s. For 2 weeks I was in HORRIFIC pain, worse than my 3 natural births. I can't imagine having a new baby while in so much pain. How sad for her. 🙁

you could tell them what you are & aren't willing to do, like maybe you'd be willing to check on her & bring her over a meal occasionally but if he wants a maid he's going to have to hire someone else

The husband can make meals for his wife and she can just heat it up when she’s hungry. He can also clean the house after he gets home from work.
