I always creep in and stand over them to make sure they are breathing. I haven't scared the beejezus out of anyone YET thankfully. But can you imagine.

When I was in hospital all the nurses would wake me up every hour to do my obs, so my sleep was so broken. One nurse wouldn’t wake me, he would just quietly take my obs and leave me be to sleep :)

Ive had nurses do that or very quietly open my door/curtain to check on me in my sleep and they'd get startled, jump and occasionally squeak cause I was staring at them cause I'm a light sleeper
