@develobaby: Age: From 10 weeks Carrying your baby sideways is one of my top tips for supporting your baby’s motor development. When a baby is tilted to the side, they naturally try to align their eyes horizontally due to the righting reflex. This engages the core muscles, which in turn supports motor development. Tips for carrying sideways: 🎈Make sure your arm is under your baby’s arm. 🎈Place your hand between your baby’s legs and around the upper thigh. 🎈You can adjust the difficulty of the exercise by tilting your baby more or less (see the video where I angle the baby at 45°, 20°, and 60°). 🎈If there is a difference in strength between the sides, focus on the weaker side until it’s as strong as the other. If both sides are equal, be careful not to develop a preference for carrying on one side, which could lead to uneven development. Let me know if you’d like more content like this. I’m analyzing the insights from each post to see which ones get the most interaction, so I can create more of what you enjoy 👍🏻 With love, Maria Your baby PT from Denmark 🇩🇰♥️ . . . #babycarrying #babydevelopment #motordevelopment #parentadvice #babyphysio #babyot #strongbaby #momhack #babyexercise #newmom #parenthack #pediatric #fitbaby
