To begin, make a quiet intention (niyyah) in your heart and stand facing the Qibla. Raise your hands and say "Allahu Akbar." While standing, recite Surah Al-Fatihah and another short Surah. Then bow in Ruku and say "Subhana Rabbiyal Azeem." Stand again, then go into Sujood (prostration) and say "Subhana Rabbiyal A'la." Each Rakat includes two Sujoods. After completing the required Rakats, sit and recite Tashahhud, Durood, and a short dua. End the prayer by turning your head right and left saying "Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah."
