Because I've been seeing quite a few requests for this video today, I wanted to share my thoughts on the recent Etsy drama i.e. mockups... I've been intentionally quiet on this because here's the truth of the matter: we don't have clear information right now that we can act on. Until there's been a formal announcement by Etsy, we can't make informed choices about next steps, and I'm personally not comfortable using this platform to incite fear or spread misinformation. So, here's what I know so far... yesterday, some sellers had listings removed from Etsy's platform, and there was speculation that this was due to the use of mockup photos. I personally was not affected by this change, nor were any of the students in my coaching retainer. I have received messages that some sellers have already had listings re-activated, and others have not. This seems to be a rapidly evolving situation, and whether this is a sign of a large platform change that's coming - or a glitch - remains to be seen. If you were personally affected, I recommend reaching out to Etsy support. And if you were not affected, I would wait until we have information that we can make informed decisions on next steps with. All that I know is we have control over one thing, and that's our mindset. If there is a large platform change coming, I will be in the camp of working to find a solution.
