When I listen at 2.2 speed and read along, my eyeball reading is still faster than that. When I listen at 1X speed it sounds unnatural 😅 My patience can’t wait for the next word lol

Ok sooo I was someone who doubted the 2x listeners being able to hear the words until I started really trying... and now I'm a 2x listener because that's how fast I read as well! 😂😂

That just seems ridiculous to make that argument. I actually struggle more to listen on 1x speed. It’s too slow and my brain wanders because I read faster than they’re talking at that speed

Everyone reads/listens with comprehension at different speeds - it's OK to go fast or slow, as long as you understood it & found it worked for you. It all counts.

Listening to a book at 1x feels like wading through glue. It’s so slow that I can lose focus in the middle of a word. My brain needs the fast for the dopamine.
