My luck, the next job I apply to, they ask why I left and if I gave notice. Always happens. I’m not sure they’re allowed to ask. They can ask why I left. But why do they need to know if I gave notice?

I did not on my last job. My co worker put in her notice s month before me and within a couple of hours they came to escort her out with her last check. She was shocked and crying.
