I use an Apple Pencil knock off for work and the tips DO wear. But I use it a lot, so I just keep a small bag with tips for days.

Pencil tips definitely wear away especially if you are a designer or artist using it everyday

The tips do eventually wear away. I use my iPad to draw and over time when the tip wears down line works becomes inconsistent

The leather case do last though but others are exorbitant. They created the bits n pieces with the intend to milk their customers.
