@juliedaniluknutrition: Oat milk is being sold as a "healthy alternative" to dairy milk, but in my opinion it's a total rip off! 😱 People are paying up to $8 a carton for a beverage this spikes their #bloodsugar levels, is high in calories and actually contains inflammatory ingredients 👎. A serving of #oatmilk typically contains about 130 calories and 24 grams of carbs— that’s about four times as much as the average one-cup serving of my personal favourite- coconut beverage 🥥, which is only 45 calories a serving. Now don't get me wrong...I'm not a calorie counter! But I make sure every calorie counts by choosing #nutrientdense #nourishing foods! The trouble is oats are a grass grain and is very cross-reactive to people allergic to wheat and other gluten grains, so I don’t recommend it on the #antiinflammatory protocol. Here is another reason why I prefer coconut beverage🥥: it sports #MCToil which helps us create more energy because it likes to be burned as fuel instead of stored as fat. Macadamia nut milk is also a great option that is nutritious and contains #Omega9. Being in my menopausal years, I only want the best for my #health to cruise through this period with grace! 😌 Tap on the link in my bio @JulieDaniluk to learn about all the tips I've gathered over the years that keep me vibrant, healthy and strong 💪.
