According to a New York Times article, the head of the three person panel who decided to take away her bronze had represented Romania in the past. Also, USAG officials were not at the hearing.

I wish CAS would release the notes from the hearing. From what I’ve read FIG had to submit the time from Omega (the software used to record scores/time) and that’s where the 1:04 came up.

The court of arbitration also has someone on the committee who usually does ruling for Romania and they are supposed to remove themselves from this case since Romania is involved but they won’t

the dude who headed the arbitration board has repped the Romanian teams litigation for over a decade. he knew of the conflict and didn't recuse himself, then they refuse to accept the video evidence?¹

So chiles got robbed at first for 3rd place, and USA appealed and then they got it right, but now Romania appealed that USA appealed 4 secs late and was reversed back to Romania!! Smh corruption!!!

Romania shouldn’t be blamed here, they requested 3 bronze medals for all 3 gymnasts. They also never agreed for them to take away jordan s medal. If anything that shows sportsmanship towards America

One of the judges on the appeals board was a person familiar with Romania. As in they dealt with Romania in the past business wise.

That’s why sports that need to be judged, rather than just sports where a winner is obvious.. like a race for example, aren’t fair because judges are bias and subjective.
