@sumbadream: The dream of the founders of Cap Karoso from the very start of the project was to establish a cultural bridge between the community of local Kodi people and the travelers coming to visit the island of Sumba. With the cultures so far apart, the usual dialogue is not always possible. And what can be better than the universal language of art to connect different cultures? So today, we brought the French artist Claire Prouvost to the neighboring village of Waikaroko to start sharing what is dear to us- an art process, creation, colors, and shapes. Villagers were encouraged to draw animals, objects, and portraits-things that make them feel happy. The moments shared with the villagers were absolutely incredible, and a few lucky guests got to experience this vibrant union through the art.
