Just approved for disability after 3 years. Passed the 2 year waiting period so Medicare backdated to this year. 2022/2023 I was on Medicaid, will they take the Medicaid costs out of my back pay?

I realize you may not be a CPA but your obviously very intelligent. Therefore, I pose a question for you. I'm on SSD and We end up owing taxes yearly due to my spouse having a really good job in Healthcare. Would it be best to file single or continue to file together? She's always filed married with zero dependants. I'm at a loss.. it's no small amount.

I’m turning 62 in days and am employed with medical insurance ( including short term and long term disability ) I just received a diagnoses of bladder cancer. This might prevent me from doing my job. Would it be better to take Social Security early and apply for disability or file through my insurance and hold of filing?
