I'm left handed and was told "right. Like the hand you write with" so often as a kid that I'm permanently unable to process left vs right on a time crunch. My husband hates that about me😂.

I learned nautical directions almost 30 years ago, I can do port (left) and starboard (right) better then left and right. So my husband points if I'm driving.

Um, so this is completely life changing! Left and right have zero meaning to me, I get it wrong at least 80% of the time but in Spanish I knew exactly which direction. it makes zero sense! THANK YOU

Whenever I say/hear right or left, I'm always just guessing. And I'm almost always wrong. I make an L with my fingers and all of a sudden I can't remember which way an L points.🙄

I learned the trick of holding up your index finger and thumb on both hands in front of you. The hand that makes the L, not backwards, is your left. Still do that too👀

so, I use Waze for my GPS directions, and you're able to record your own directions. y'all, I SING the instructions, because left is moving lower in pitch, and right is moving higher, like on a piano.

I can't do Cardinal directions. my sister explained that she always knows which direction she's going bc the house we grew up in faces north, she just imagines she's standing in front of the house 🤯

North, south, east, and west. Left & right. Up & down. And when navigating & the driver asks "turn here" you must answer "Correct" so they don't turn right where you said left.
