I swear this made more sense in my head😓. i feel like shanks and roger are both reaching (or reached for dead man roger 💀) for what Luffy has or is doing. For example Roger said that "it was not his time." Like he isn't the true king that there's smth more. And shanks as we know is now also going for the one piece and I think both characters wish to be like Luffy who is joyboy in a way???
