@beccaannlibrary: I know I was going to fall in love with Henry Turning after finishing Icebreaker. Daydream exceeded my expectations about Henry. I couldn’t put this book down, Henry and Halle were truly made for each other. I fell in love with this book even before started reading it, this cover is EVERYTHING!!! I think I just started at it for 5 minutes when I got the book ☺️ ⭐️ 6/5 🌶️ 1/5 Book #3 of Maple Hill Series The first time they met each other happens when Henry accompanies Aurora to her book club meeting to choose leadership books to become a better and more understanding pf what a hockey captain mean, a consuming job he pours his soul into. Instead of picking a book, he crashes the book club to devour the cookies made by Halle Jacobs: an overachiever, the sweetest person, who struggles with saying “no” to anyone. I loved reading the the growth of Henrys and Halle’s relationship and how the entire time they communicated with one another about their wants and needs. I loved the banter between the two of them and how comfortable they became with each other even though they only met. Henry found comfort around Halle and she knew exactly what he needed in certain scenarios.  This book touches a lot on neurodivergent tendencies and characteristics, even thought Henry wasn’t officially diagnosed in the book (which Hannah notes is intentional), it dives into the challenges that he faces and the way her process his struggles when his brain is process certain information and/or scenarios differently then when his friends are around him. It was great to see the support that he got from both his friends and Halle, even if at times his friends didn’t know how to support him.  I think this is the story I’ve related to both the characters Like Halle, I always want to please people and put them before myself. While my people pleasing isn’t as severs as Halle, I get her tendency to want to put others before herself. It was great to see Henry and her friend encourage her to put herself first and also have them jump in to help when she over committed to doing things for other. I also relate the Henry when is rain is process certain information and/or scenarios.
