If you search on YouTube something like
If you search on YouTube something like "Christmas tree pipe cleaner" you will find a lot of great tutorials from other fellow creatives. Here are my notes on what I did (differently): ✅ Used a flexible cardboard sheet for my base (the one that comes with pantyhose!) and covered it in tissue paper using school glue and a brush to smooth it out. ✅ Made the base much wider (I didn't cut just a quarter of a circle, I made a cone that had the proportions I wanted from the whole rectangle and cut off the excess) ✅ Cut my pipe cleaner shorter and kept my finger in the center while folding to create a fuller, rounded tip ✅ Added much more rows and glued them offset from one another (like bricks) ✅ Fluffed each "petal" individually at the end ✅ Glued the top loop first and then the final row of loops ✅ Opted for a base covered in pipe cleaners too, so I can add a little sun design (as a message to the receiver of this gift) ✅ And finally, resisted the urge to over embellish it with all my red pom-poms🫣 This one took a lot of patience, but it was so worth it!
