@off.grid.island: We have finished the deck on our island! 🏝️ Since our deck frame was done, the last thing we had to do was move our 5m glamping tent there. Before our tent was on the ground, and it was uneven and uncomfortable. It was located on the only flat spot we could find on the island. One of the reasons we chose to build the deck was for the tent, to make it more convenient and make sure the tent stays in good condition for a long time. We had to take everything out of the tent, disassemble it and transport the furniture and the tent itself to the deck spot. This was pretty challenging as the previous tent location is 200m from the deck. We used the boat to transport most of the stuff and it surprisingly fit our bed frame too 🛌 Then it was time to assemble the tent again. Since the stakes would not work on a deck I got some screws with hooks and loops to secure the tent to the deck. Now, the deck is done! We have our tent there and being on the island feels much more comfortable. We have also put some patio furniture in front of the tent as a dining area and now we can enjoy the view more. Next trip, we are getting an outhouse & toilet delivered, so we’re excited to start that project!
