Short term- yes there’s a slight increase in car traffic. Long term- more people will make shorter local trips using transit/scooters/bikes instead of cars, reducing congestion.

I ride my road bike a lot and I rarely see people use bikes in LA and OC. I’m liking the bike lane for easier connections through the city but as a driver I hate it lol
