Too fine and grams .. inserting the portafilter does not lock in much so it explodes.. Try inner burr to mid settings and the out side to mid

You should be tamping with a lot of weight/pressure so that when the water pours through the porta filter it creates a long stream that looks like a mouse tail and it should be kind of slow

As a barista as soon as I saw the wires visible in the group handle I knew what was coming 😵💫🤣 my partner did the same thing with my home machine. coffee to the roof 🤣

Hey! I have the same machine, it’s incredible. It WILL take you a long time to dial it in, you’re literally doing chemistry. Be a perfectionist for a bit (time pulls, weigh everything, etc..)
