Griffin was just lying on the floor, quietly whining and making these soft little noises. I went over to him and asked if he was okay… why he was sooking… but I couldn’t work out what was wrong. About an hour later, my phone rang. Griffin’s mum had passed away. 💔 She was the person who loved him for almost five years. And because she was so unwell, she made the incredibly difficult decision to let him go and entrusted us with loving him for the rest of his life. I don’t know what Griffin understood in this moment. Maybe it was simply a coincidence. Maybe he was still adjusting to his new home and missing her. Or maybe, somehow, he knew. 🥺 Watching this video back now feels completely different. There’s something about the timing that I just can’t shake. Rest peacefully, griffins first mum. Thank you for trusting us with your beautiful boy. He is already so very loved. We’ll take good care of him.
