This is one of the best LGBTQ films I've ever seen. I loved the chemistry between the actors; they portrayed love so beautifully and realistically! Personally, I often find that actors don't seem particularly interested in playing gay characters, and consequently, the love scenes seem very forced, but there's so much care and tenderness between the characters. Although at first it might seem like they're just physically attracted to each other, that feeling quickly fades when you see how they care for each other in the littlest ways, and Georgy starts this cycle of love and care. I literally fell in love with him and his love for Johnny. I especially loved how, at the beginning of the film, John's mother says something like,

It's immediately clear how his parents don't shower him with care and love, and I think that's why he doesn't particularly want to work on the farm. But when Johnny got a simple scratch, Georgiy immediately showed so much attention to him, and even though it was just a scratch, he kissed it and even licked it. It was such a peak of love. It was also important for me to see Johnny's development; it was so powerful and cool. From a guy who constantly drinks and takes advantage of people, resentful of everyone, someone, namely Georgiy, finally cares for him and loves the real him. And Johnny begins to reveal himself as a good person who CAN love this world, his loved ones, and live a good life. A person needs a person. #godsowncountry #movieedit #lgbt #rec #viralvideo
