PAD KEE MAO (DRUNKEN NOODLES) 🍝🥵 with @Issy Sedgwick 💖 This fusion pad kee mao inspired drunken pappardelle is THE fusion pasta dish you need in your life!! Issy and I got together to make this gorgeous and tasty noodle dish in just under 30 minutes! More #deats below: Ingredients  Vegan beef-style pieces  1 block extra firm tofu  2 tbsp corn starch  1/2 tsp liquid smoke 1 tbsp gravy granules (+some hot water to dissolve) 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp garlic powder  1-2 tbsp dark soy sauce (for colour)  Drunken pasta  2 servings pappardelle  2 tbsp neutral oil 2 cloves garlic  1-2 red chillies 2 shallots  1.5 tbsp light soy sauce  1-2 tbsp dark soy sauce  2 tsp vegan fish sauce  1 tsp sweetener 2 stalks spring onions  Splash of pasta water 1 cup thai basil Directions:  Slice the tofu into very thin slices. Coat the tofu in corn starch, garlic and onion powder.  Dissolve the gravy granules in hot water and pour over the tofu. Add dark soy sauce and liquid smoke.  Mix them until well-combined. Bake in the over at 180C for about 20-25 minutes until crispy, flipping them halfway.  Slice shallots, finely chop chillies and white part of scallions.  Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.  Saute shallots for a few minutes, then add red chillies. Press some garlic in while cooking or add minced garlic to pan. Lastly, add white part of scallions and saute for a minute.  Add in your sauces: light and dark soy sauces, vegan fish sauce, sweetener. Mix well.  Add in the baked tofu pieces and cook them in the sauce.  Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside, saving the pasta water.  Add the cooked pasta and mix well. Lastly, add in thai basil leaves and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the basil is wilted and everything is heated through.
