If the storage has not been crushed to pieces, I would take it to a cell phone shop to see if they can retrieve the photos from the storage.

Yeah I got iCloud for this. I lost tons of stuff from before tho, deleted my old Facebook from back when Facebook was the way to store photos. And lost the backup.Oops
