Two things. One, would a plate compactor work better? Unless they didn’t want to mar the surface of pavers. And the second thing is, the dark polymeric sand really frames those pavers nicely.

Hi, I have no idea how this works so dumb question: how do you keep the stones aligned over time if there is no guard rail along the sides?

Gator suggests spreading the sand in an s-pattern before booming. Just to make sure the polymers get spared evenly, otherwise, excellent job.

Do you use a roller compactor and put more poly sand down after?

yaa I never liked the poly. if the stone is even the tiniest bit wet it leaves like a sand paper on top

No need to use dead blow. Compactor works just fine. Second broom, light blow, water down.

Looks fantastic! You should get a compactor with a rubber guard so instead of using a mallet you can run it over the pavers to imbed the sand in the joints. It’s just faster and easier good job!

Is that too much water though? The directions on the polymeric sand I bought say not to let it get foamy

Mix the polymeric sand with Porter cement first

What is the best sealer product? Also, how often do you have to seal it?
