@msemilyrose11: Replying to @brooke..allen the *cold* temp of the fridge causes your starter to pause and not grow mold (as long as she is truly air tight). Putting her back into a warmer environment (room temp) causes her to pick back up where she left off. Bringing her 1 step closer to being ready to bake with again. This will be a 1 to 2 day *SIMPLE* process before im ready to bake with her again. #sourdoughstarter #tutorial

I was just told not to refrigerate my starter because it will weaken the yeast, I do have a strong starter. But I took a few days off and will be leaving out of town, I’m confused now
