@jojohnsonoverby: thankful for google and a husband that cooks but still trying to get past the irrational fear the crockpot could explode at any moment 🧑🍳 #kitchen #foodprep
Jo’s job is not kitchen and it makes me feel better that they never even considered my application for the job of kitchen

It was opposite for me. Took on every adult responsibility far before being an adult. Now I’m burnt out 😂😭 but anything can be learned. Just gotta practice ❤️

I’m the opposite…my mom cooked everything from scratch so I didn’t know how to heat up soup from a can in my teens…🫠

I’ll never remember his user but there’s a guy here who posts recipes for people who never learn the basics of cooking and I’m pretty sure he’s published a book now

Can you please explain how you learned to make eggs Benedict but the crock pot (which you just dump things into) missed you 😂🤣😂

Jo! I’m 27 and have just learned how to use a crock pot! It’s not intimidating now and it’s a good starting place!!

🙋🏼♀️I am the exact same way! Glad to know I’m not the only one. To be fair, my 60 year old father has NEVER used a stove or oven. I was not set up for success

This explains why your evenings look so slow and relaxing! Ha ha Immlike trying to cook a freaking hot fresh meal every night, dishes everywhere survive and out 3 kids to bed 😂😂😂

I knew a few things when I got married. My husband taught me mostly everything! But he tells me I’m a good cook now so there is that!

This is why my kiddos will be getting in the kitchen with me young lol. They'll be able to at least make spaghetti, a basic chicken soup, etc. without having a recipe in front of em.

I grew up with parents who didn’t love to cook, and I ended up learning how with the help of them and my grandma, which turned into me cooking so they didn’t have to and now I love cooking as an adult

Cannot relate with this at all. My sisters and I were in the kitchen cooking with mom and grandma from a very young age and have done the same with our children.

We were the DON'T enter the sml kitchen while things are cooking EVER and using the stove needed matches. So only used a microwave or oven alone, then slowly learnt how to cook with stove as an adult
