@the1andonlyjenn2: Abuse comes in all forms. Domestic violence isnt just physical. Its control. Its fear. Its embarassment. Its everytime a part of your self esteem shatters because your insecurities are used against you. I was in a relationship with an active addict and narcissist for 8 years. I loved him more than i could describe. I was addicted to him and he used that to nearly break me. I felt stuck. I felt like i was a prisoner in my own home. I stayed. I made excuses. I hung on to potential. I tried to help him and almost lost myself in the process. Then i realized it was me and my daughter or him and she and i will win every single time. I wish i had found the strength earlier, but God helped me leave when i was ready for the miracles waiting on the other side.
