@veganscratchkitchen: VEGAN TOFU CHIK’N SAMMIE🔥 Last week I posted a recipe for vegan tofu chik’n and y’all loved it! Here’s a simple yet very delicious sammie that packs in tons of fresh veg and full-on flavors. This tofu chik’n is so versatile. Excited to bring y’all more fun recipes with it! ingredients 1 block super firm tofu (or pressed extra firm) 6 tbsp olive oil 1/2 tsp salt black pepper to taste 1 tbsp smoked paprika toasted french bread slices vegan mayo shredded red cabbage julienned carrots cilantro leaves pickled jalapeño thin sliced avocado prep preheat your oven to 450F. shred your block of tofu with a cheese grater. add to a parchment lined baking tray along with olive oil, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. mix together and level the tofu shreds out into one large sheet. bake for 30 mins. remove from the oven and allow to cool 10 mins. roll up the tofu sheet and thinly slice across into fine pieces. serve on french bread with all the fixing and enjoy my friends 🙏🏼 #veganrecipes #vegansandwiches #tofurecipes

Today's payday so I bought tofu... I'm going to try to make that tofu stuff! My first hurdle is shredding, I've been told to press, pat dry with paper towel and freeze... So I'm gonna test that.

why doesn’t my tofu every shred?! i buy extra firm and it just crumbles on the grater. i freeze it and then press it. 😭😭
