Having spices in matching containers works better for me, space wise. Same with decanting, as some of those original containers take up a lot bigger footprint than they need too.

Also RE the resealable containers, depending on the product the packaging might be a part of the preservative system, so if you decant it can make it less stable and spoil faster.

SOME clear containers are helpful to my ADHD brain bc I can see when I’m running low on something (ex: eggs). Otherwise my brain forgets until I open up a carton and it’s too late 😅

I think that kitchens of people who truly cook everyday don't look so sterile anyway. If you look at Martha’s or Ina’s or your grandmother’s kitchen - things stay in their original containers.

It’s dangerous to take cleaning and laundry products out of their original packaging ( which is usually childproof) and putting them in easy to open & often unlabeled containers 😱
