@zama_bovu: I don’t think people realise how iconic it was to hear that hye yoon went to go teach an acting class at her old uni before even preparing or better yet releasing news on a fan meeting and that Cha ji yeon still breaks boundaries in theatre by being the first female actress to play the titular role in a story of a transgender singer from East Germany, Hedwig. The genuine love for theatre is nonexistent when it comes to kactors and film directors. As a person who enjoys reading scripts and interpreting them I feel so sad for the script writers who put their whole hearts into a script only for the casting directors to put the actor’s popularity/beauty as the most important factor - so many people could do justice to ALL of Eun woo’s characters, I Don’t even want to mention the number of actresses who could have taken over for Hong Su zu - nowadays having an actual background in acting means nothing as long as you’re pretty, tall and can come off as an idiot completely in love. Chae and Woo seok are natural talents but natural talent can only get you so far most of the things I point out here they could have pointed it out themselves to both the film director, cinematographers or just fixed it themselves by ad-libbing (basically result directing) but they wouldn’t be able to because they themselves know no better so they wouldn’t be able to tell when someone is intentionally screwing them over which is unfortunate.
