Story time! I’m about to get REAL with y’all. When I was a first time mom, I had no idea what I was doing, and I was so overwhelmed with everything that I started to hate being a mom. 😔 I felt like I had no relationship with my daughter because I didn’t know what I was doing, and I didn’t know how to handle her or even how to help her. I just felt so helpless 💔 But I did NOT want this to be our experience. I didn’t want this to be what motherhood was for me, and I didn’t want this to be her childhood. So I went on a mission to learn how to be a mom, and what better way to learn than from other mothers? 😀 I didn’t care if they had been a mom for 5 years or 5 months, if they had 1 kid or 5 kids. I knew I could learn from anyone and everyone. I swallowed my pride and did my research 🧐 Here’s what I learned: ⭐️ If I am proactive when it comes to tantrums, and I know exactly how I’m going to handle them, all of the fear and panic goes away. I’m able to think clearly and follow my plan. ⭐️ If I’m going to correct my child, I am going to correct with love. My goal is to teach, not punish. ⭐️ People are going to watch me parent. They’re going to make judgements. They’re going to tell me I could have done it better, and they might be right. That’s ok. ⭐️ My ultimate goal and purpose is to build my relationship with my child.
