I saw my dad go through Alzheimer’s when he was in his early-mid 60s and I was in my early 20s. He wasn’t my dad by the end… a few years before actually. He was simply a body in pain.

It’s the way there needs to be a point where we need to (ethically and with care) take away a little bit of the artificial stuff keeping them alive like maybe they don’t need all those meds and tubes

I work in LTC as a caregiver and it’s really sad. Had folks beg me for them to pass. Just do what I can to make them as comfy as possible. It’s damn near inhumane.

yeah my 97 year old great grandma had like three different cancers and out lived literally eveyone besides her grand children. she was very sad

I understand why you feel this way. I cared for many end stage dementia patients. Aspiration pneumonia & hallucinations are a cruel end, never mind the memory loss
