Lasers are regulated by the FDA in the US not really a law more of suggestion. They are completely legal for sale, but there are laws about what you can and can’t do with it

StyroPyro explains the law on lasers very well. the problem isn't selling within the US, it's importing high wattage lasers that becomes a problem.

If you truly test it, I’ll bet it’s WAY under 100mW. I had a 2 watt blue laser I built years ago and it would burn skin in milliseconds

Green laser is also dangerous as it uses an IR laser diode that passes through a crystal that turns it green. These device when exposed to cold, the crystal doesn't work but the IR laser still does...

The legality of a laser device isn't determined by its name but by its classification. Class 3B and 4 lasers, regardless of whether they're called "pointers" or "torches," remain illegal in the US

I have that same laser and it doesn't beam into the sky like it shows in videos on tiktok,mine doesn't seem any stronger the the laser pointer you can buy at the store to play with cats. but mine is the same,it has the keyhole in the bottom and came with a key to lock it,it also has an extension that shines a pattern rather then the basic 1 dot beam

For some reason at myrtle beach these things were huge in every gift shop for a while a few years back. Last time i went a few still sell em but they used to be everywhere and a lot of people hated it
