I think the point of a relationship is not marriage, that's just a piece of paper, 10 years is not a waist when you live each other and cherish the time together. you can be 1y, 2y or 20y in a 1/2

No such thing as too long, when you look at the divorce percentages maybe this should be the norm to go for 5-10 years at least before marriage instead of the 1-3 that way too many people expect
