@oldloserinbrooklyn: Is chloe fw24 the new miu miu ss22? Full look policies are an easy short-term win but imo they lack longevity and the ability to contextualize clothing outside of the runway. #chloe #miumiu #runwayfashion #fashionanalysis #greenscreen
100% agree - I'm over this "no room for error" styling that brands are trying to shove down everyone's throats 😫

Full look policies for me only work with ultra-high couture, like a McQueen piece, because they’re not meant to be functional. Chloe is definitely a brand that could easily integrated into the general

Other brands that used to do this: Dior, Alaïa, YSL, Chanel, D&G, Hermes

I feel like it makes the consumer want to buy more than one piece to achieve the look tho

I love the new chloe collection but I do agree, I always thought fashion should be a choice of what you do with a piece (like influence your own style)

I think the Chloe on Sydney would have been so much better with a different bag.

Can’t believe editorial work is regulated to full looks so often now. like keep it on celebs/influencers but creative realms deserve the freedom to play, that’s where iconic imagery really comes from

Do you think they’re doing it on purpose? It seems like mui mui led to the “office siren” aesthetic. So maybe it’s more about establishing an “aesthetic”?

To me it represents a lack of a collaborative spirit between creatives and it doesn’t feel authentic to the way fashion works in the real world. It’s more like… wearable capitalism

exactly! when i saw sydney in that chloé look, in my brain i was like yeah she makes sense to me as a chloé girl but because of the full look i was like, i don’t believe her.

As a stylist it’s such a pain when you have to abide by the full look policy, it fully kills the creative process and you just end up phoning it in cause there’s nothing you can do. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

Even if it’s a policy, I’ve purchased some new Chloe pieces and it’s so easy to mix and match with my other clothing

I think this is also of the main reasons no one care anymore about fashion magazines, is just a series of full looks from runways

Honestly, I like it. A lot. I think it extends a brands identity and solidifies their aesthetic to the non-Fashion tapped consumer. We have plenty of time to see them styled separate later :)
