I used to be a checker. But for me it was also doors, windows & the stove. It's actually a manifestation of severe anxiety & can get out of control if you don't get help.

I've never taken a Picture but not a bad idea. I just say outloud water off stove off door locked.alarm on. I'm so glad I'm not alone with my crazy. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I am the same. I finally had to take a picture of the stove. One time I went on a cruise and I kept thinking to myself did I unplug that iron this wreck my vacation.
