@bluecottagebakeryla: As some of you know, me and my 2 daughters were in a bad car accident at the end of May (we were rear ended by a ram 2500 that was going 75 and on his phone while i was slowing down to turn going about 20). My 11 year old suffered cervical and thoracic spinal fractures and a cervical spinal cord injury. She was paralyzed from the neck down at first. But after 2 weeks in icu and then another 7 weeks in pediateic rehab for injuries, she was able to walk out of the hospital. Yes, walk. She still has some work to do on her left side (not able to move her arm much and cant move her left wrist/fingers, has to wear an afo on her left leg to support her ankle) but that child has shocked everyone with her bravery and determination and strength. I know spinal cord injuries are not something that is universally understood and all injuries are different.
