@bianca.hd: After four long gap years — med school classes start tomorrow !!!! 📚 👩‍⚕️⚕️🤍 🎥 This clip is 2 years old. Here, I’m studying for the MCAT 📖 on my father’s birthday 🎂 because I couldnt make the trip home because I was a thousand miles away and between work and the MCAT, I couldn’t swing it. I was so homesick. So lost. So uncertain. Social media helped inspire me to stay the course, and now that I made it into med school, my hope is to share my stories to give back to the place that helped me stay inspired during some of my darkest times. ⏰ Finding time to savor the journey of my four gap years has taught me more about myself and emphasized the critical need for compassionate healthcare. I have become more patient, more confident, and more kind to myself. ☀️ I already miss studying on the beach until the sun set but — this will always be my happy place :) …and I am so excited to find new happy places in my new home, too, soon.
