@tylerpath: When I do cable flyes, I set the pins to the furthest back settings so I’m able to get a deep stretch on the pecs. With that said, setting up the flyes into position can be a bit sketchy so I recommend grabbing one side at a time and swinging your body weight over. #fyp #Fitness #gym #bodybuilding

For those wondering it takes less energy to preform so easier tracking for long term progression (getting one more rep) as well as protecting your very sensitive and very precious rotator cuff.

I’m imaging the “why” is because of the starting position. If you do it with both handles back you’re essentially starting at the half rep mark. Which I guess messes up form & symmetry of your reps?

I was told by a PT recently that you should not have the arms pulled that far back as it rolls your shoulders too much and is bad form. He was right. Got a much better burn doing it properly.
