The number one reason I see women not getting stronger or getting that toned look that they want is because they are not lifting heavy enough to change the muscle.  You need to hit what I call Death Plus Three. If you are doing 10 reps of a bicep curl you should hit Death at rep 7 when you want to stop. But you don’t. You pause, regroup and perform 3 more. You should not be able to lift an 11th rep because you hit failure. If you can lift more than 10 reps you are too light.  I wanted to show you what my 10th rep looks like when I am lifting heavy and at failure. It’s not pretty 😂  Then I show you what I see the majority of women doing in the gym. By the time they hit 10 reps they are tired, fatigued, sweaty and it was hard.  If you want to gain muscle and strength then you don’t want hard. You want HEAVY.  My entire body is contracted on those last few reps. I can’t look or talk to anyone. And it’s a relief to set the weight down. It’s an amazing feeling!! Film yourself. Which version of me do you look like? You can most likely lift more! And if you are worried about not going heavy because you aren’t sure on correct form then you should pay for a program to teach you how to perform each movement safely.
